After reading both of the two stories on Bull Run, and I would have to say that I like the "Back to Iraq" one better. I think that it is a better read it. I like that it grabs my attention right away by placing you in the middle of a gun battle. I also like how it changes time just like a movie would when it shows and time jump right in front of you. That made it easier to see it happening in my mind while reading the story.
The story that was mainly about the battle of "Bull Run" was, I hate to say it, but it didn't get me interested in the story until later on. Maybe I shouldn't have read the Iraq one first. Sometimes I feel bad for thinking this, but I don't really like the way that it was written. Maybe I’m the reason that newspapers only write with a eight grade reading level, but what ever. When you (Doc) were talking about how it sounds like the pope talks, I agree. So in conclusion I would have to say that the "Bull Run" story has way more detail which is good, but I don’t like the way it was wrote. The Iraq Story threw you right into the action and with not a lot of crazy words made easy for you to picture each scene and see the differences between the two in you minds eye.
